Understanding Fifth Grade Mathematics Content and Pedagogy

This purpose of this course module is to support classroom teachers as they help students develop a deeper understanding of the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Mathematics.   The course is grade-level specific and addresses the most challenging standards to teach in the grade level as reported by current classroom teachers via a state-wide survey.    Research-based instructional strategies are provided.  The Georgia Standards of Excellence spotlighted are: MGSE5.NBT.1, MGSE5NBT.6, MGSE5.NF.5, MGSE5.NF.7 and MGSE5.MD.1.  



Understanding Fourth Grade Mathematics Content and Pedagogy
